It is no secret that the Total War series is currently going through its toughest time in recent memory, and arguably ever. From the difficult release of Total War Pharaoh, to some poorly worded PR statements, to the cancellation of Hyenas, and Steam discussion forum debacles, Creative Assembly hasn't made it easy for themselves in the past few months, and fans of the franchise have made their voices heard in one way or another.

If Creative Assembly wishes to return to its game and win back the love of the fans, a few major changes have to be made. And even though some might be easier than others, there are certainly some major solutions to the current troubles, and in this video, I point out 4 so-called golden ticket ideas that I believe may get the series and the studio itself back on track. It's no secret that some of these ideas are influenced by the policies of Paradox Development Studios, and I do indeed wish Creative Assembly could take a page out of their book.

Honestly, we would not be in this mess if Total War games in a more deliberate way actively built on each other, instead of trying to reinvent itself with every game, while ironically staying very much the same in all the bad ways. If I had one wish, it would be that future Total War games simply learned from its predecessors, and brought with it features we used to have, and then just continued to build on them. Feature strip is a major reason why Total War games seem to go backwards in many ways, and I know I'm not alone in feeling this way.
