15Happy Valentines Day mates! Love is in the air and we are back in school again for another romance, time management & stats based race. This year we have transferred from Sunrider Academy and gone back in time... to the 90's! (Thank God). This time around we are racing in the dating simulator that started the whole genre. Tokimeki Memorial 1994.
The rules are simple we each have three girls (out of the twelve) that we must make fall in love with us while simultaneously trying to succeed at school and life. In addition we must also make sure we don't piss off the any of the girls too much or they will RUMOUR BOMB us in into a pit of loneliness... forever.
Just like last year we had a lot of fun with this one so tune in and see which one of us will either be a major player or end up completely alone or live happily ever after with out true love.... under the tree of legends!
One of Japan's most popular dating sims, Tokimeki Memorial was first released in 1994 for the PC Engine. Over the years, its overwhelming popularity has led to various remakes and spin-offs. The most well known version is the Playstation remake, Tokimeki Memorial ~Forever with You~.
In Tokimeki Memorial, male players make their way through three years of high school, while trying to attract a female character from a pool of dateable characters. The game play focuses mainly on scheduling, dating, and stat-building. If the player is successful at wooing a female character by the end of the third year, then he will receive a confession of love at the Tree of Legend along with that character's special ending.
