1-death run, finally! Also 8th place on Royalflare at the time of uploading.

For those who don't know, a suicide at the start allows for defeating Kisume faster for more green star items. Scoring in SA Easy/Normal is mostly about keeping stage 1/2's star items as long as possible, as they effectively provide an additional 1.4x multiplier on Normal (70k instead of 50k base point item value) on top of the graze multiplier. There's a substantial quantity of star items throughout stage 1 and after the stage 2, 5, and 6 midbosses, and a somewhat smaller amount in stage 4.

Since you lose all those star items when you die, that means scoring in SA Easy/Normal is about not dying after the initial suicide at the start. So essentially it's like MoF with grazing. And higher difficulty. And more chance of clipdeath.

Of course, graze is important for increasing PIV as well. Spell bonuses are rather low in SA, so stalling/bombing spells for graze is almost always worth it, and survival bombs aren't too costly as long as the lower power isn't an issue.

I'd been attempting this for quite a while. Since late October 2012, at least. It feels strange not to have this as an ongoing goal anymore...
