HBCB: Infamous spell. This is probably the hardest spell in all of the mainline games so far IMO, very messy RNG-dependent pattern with a lot of walling potential. I personally find it significantly harder than PDH. The bullets added in the 2nd and 3rd phase are really annoying, they don't fall straight down but instead drift to one side, so it feels like they take up a lot more space than they actually do.

It's tempting to focus your reading ahead of you but reading to your sides is really important here. After you've picked a lane, you need to keep in mind which direction it will unfold in and then focus your reading on where the lane will end, because there's a very high chance that a nasty clump of bullets is waiting there which you have to quickly manoeuvre through before the lane crushes you. Truly mystified at what ZUN was cooking with this one.

HPSI: Another very infamous one, I don't find it as cursed as HBCB but it's definitely still very difficult. Obviously it's at its worst when Okina is low on the screen. The misdirects for the mentos are also really crucial, the misdirect from left to right is especially tricky and I can't get it down consistently. It might help if there was a sound cue for when the bullets aim at you but there isn't. The good thing is the mentos are spread so far apart that even if you screw it up you might just be able to dash through them anyway.

HCFW: Might be the easiest one if you get used to how it works and when to change sides. You can also just do it in the middle but it can be pretty spooky that way. Timing the phase transitions so they occur when Okina is in the middle helps, although I failed to do that for the last phase which resulted in her firing the large bullet rings really close to the side I'm currently on.

HEW: Not much to say about this, it's the most straightforward of the four. Just read and dodge.
