Hey hey folks, and welcome to my critique of Bioshock Infinite. In this video I try and find out what Bioshock Infinite is about. What the themes of the game are, and what, if anything, the game is trying to say.

Wow, so this project took months. It's also the longest critique I've ever written. I mean, most of that is due to the recap, but I think it was important to include the recap, so yeah, the longest critique yet! I hope you enjoy it. The playing of the game took a couple months, the research took a couple months, and then I procrastinated on writing and recording the script for a couple months. The editing came together rather quickly. I tried a few new techniques on this video, and I like the result. I hope you do too. I even made a very foolish mistake and wiped all of my edited footage after completing the video the first time. The next day I edited all 20 minutes together again. As I'm writing this, I should be in bed, but I want this project to be scheduled, so I can move on to the next one!

The video is looking at the themes of Bioshock Infinite, seeing what the game has to say, and if any one theme is stronger than another. I wanted to see if I could parse out what the game is actually about, as the critical writing on it mostly talks about how everything the game tries to do, it fails at, or at least doesn't go far enough in any particular direction. I felt this to be the case after replaying it for footage, but I wanted to make sure that's what I really felt, and this video is the result.
