Velocity 2X is a Sony exclusive, fast moving, science fiction themed, over the top shoot-em-up (sometimes known as SHMUPS) with side scrolling platformer elements. The game was developed by award winning series developers, Futurlab, who previously developed Velocity Ultra and Fuel Tiracas. Futurlab also acted as the publisher for Velocity 2X.
Serving as a sequel to the two preceding popular Velocity titles, Velocity and Velocity Ultra. The game was developed for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita and it was released on September 2nd 2014.
