Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider - All Stages S Rank (Perfect Rank Trophy Guide)
16It doesn't take much to get S rank in Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider, but it's also easy to mess up. Basically, all you need to do is kill most enemies extremely fast without dying. Out of the three, dying seems to instantly lower your rank, with speed being more important than proficiency. For these reasons it's best to rush every stage, even if you take a sizable amount of damage, especially for time sinks like bosses.
For this reason this video is rather sloppy, and features frequent mistakes; but it gives you an idea of how I approached every stage, along with an idea of how fast an S rank run needs to be. I can say from experimenting for my review the barrier is a bit more forgiving than the video makes it out to be. I didn't drop in rank until I added roughly a minute to my run time, something that sounds smaller than it is. When you add up all the dodging, and other little things you can easily add another minute or two.
Anyway, my build for this run was Acrobat, and HP Regen. HP Regen increases your margin of error, with the added benefit of healing you during boss battles. As for Acrobat, not only does it make certain sections easier, it opens new paths that are even quicker to complete a level.
Finally, outside of the first, and last two stages, they're ordered by how difficult I found them.
