It's been a year since Dutch soldiers left Afghanistan, where they had been tasked with facilitating security and reconstruction since 2002. On Nov. 11 2022, the court will decide whether the Netherlands culpably bombed innocent civilians at the battle of Chora in 2007. This killed dozens of civilians.

Sakir Khader travels to the province now under Taliban rule and speaks to Afghans who have sued the Dutch state over this.
