Jumpslashes and triple slashes extend their hitboxes little by little with repeated pauses. I'm using this fact to hit the underground Volvagia hitbox that we usually hit with bombs or bombchus.

Might be the fewest prerequisites needed for volv, just hammer, sword, and 5 hearts (though I think you could get away with 4 hearts if you did timer stops with a trade item). You could do it with just hammer too, but you'd need a lot more health, either by letting a fly cycle happen, or using the sword extension glitch with a jumpslash from much further away. You'd need like 85 pauses per hit rather than the 26 I used here with sword, and since the timer also ticks one frame between pauses, that would waste over 4 seconds per hit just on pausing.
