[Warrior] The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall [43] | Traitor to Sentinel | Lord K'avar | Koegria
Welcome back to The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, a role-playing game built for MS DOS. This is our Warrior playthrough where we focus primarily on the Knightly Order of Knights of the Rose and the Fighters' Guild. This is the final video in this entire playthrough.
Since I'd heard a lot about the Lord K'avar Quesline of the Fighters' Guild, I decided to add a patch from the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages that added the CompUSA exclusive quests to the game, enabling me to play quests like Standard Protection and the Lord K'avar Questline.
While on paper the quest seems very interesting and full of twists and turns, in reality it is severely misrepresented in the UESP. The various parts of the quest are actually ways in which it can branch out depending upon who you choose to ally yourself with. But at any rate, there is only one part to this quest and it always ends up with a standard dungeon crawl no matter what.
We were told to meet a person in a home in Koegira who would give us further information about a matter requiring utmost discetion. We met that person and they told us that Sentinel needs our help. As we are exiting the home, he is ambushed and killed and hands us a letter stating Lord K'avar's involvement in a plan of high treason alongside another person. We then recieve a letter from said person that told us to meet them instead of the original contact since he is no longer available. This letter is obviously false since we just interacted with what is now the corpse of the original contact.
We make a decision at this point to head straight to Sentinel, after dispatching of Lord K'avar's Men, and give the letter to Queen Akorithi. She, in turn, asks us for our help in tracking the traitor down and bringing him to justice. We head back to Koegria to the Haunt of Balthenon and find him and kill him and return to Queen Akorithi for our reward.
Now, had we allied ourselves with Lord K'avar instead by talking to him first, we would have later had to save him from Castle Sentinel as Akorithi manages to capture him and schedules him for execution.
Had we refused Akorithi the first time around, she would later call upon us to deliver him unto her from Castle Wayrest instead. In either case, it's a standard dungeon crawl with the quest location fixed. It's only not fixed in the instance where you travel to his temporary hideout in a random dungeon when you accept Akorithi's request the first time around.
As for the false contact, he would've given us an amulet that transport us to a local dungeon from where we would have had to find an exit. This is just a means for Lord K'avar to buy more time and doesn't really change the story as much.
While I wanted to try out all the alternate pathways, all the dungeon crawling got to me and in the end I just decided to call it quits and that was that for our very last video of DOS Daggerfall.
