There are some speed shoes hidden in a tree before the tunnel that proceeds the loop. Get the shoes roll down the tunnel though the loop, roll to and hit the red spring -sending you back the way you came - now your heading the right direction jump on top of the loop da using the extra speed and collect the extra life.
