Why Kirby and the Forgotten Land is Being Received Better than Star Allies (Review)
Heya guys it's TIller!
Today I'm trying a bit of a new format with my videos. I guess being able to put a face to a voice might help a bit. So let me know if you guys like this format or if you'd rather me stay a disembodied voice.
Anyways although it's been nearly a month, I've finally had the time to cobble together a review of Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
I'm sorry that it took so long, in truth this entire video was due out last week but I hit a snag when Vegas wouldn't render my footage with color so I had to go back and reclip some stuff I needed.
The latest game in the Kirby franchise finally takes the series to new heights. This technically is not Kirby's first adventure into 3D. Triple Deluxe did some fooling around with using 3 dimensions as layers but this is the first main line title in the franchise to actually be a full 3D game.
That is, on the surface, what makes Kirby and the Forgotten Land so special. But isn't it being received a lot better than Star Allies? Perhaps it is my skewed POV but I feel like I saw a lot fewer articles and posts about the low difficulty of this game by comparison to Star Allies.
So my question to you as a viewer is... "When does difficulty actually become obvious to you?"
For me it's when a game stops being fun for a moment. I begin to notice my problems with a game's difficulty. During my time with Star Allies this happened. Unfortunately with low difficulty bar games, it is much harder to raise that bar than lowering the bar in high difficulty games. What Forgotten Land does right, is make a game where the player is so entranced with all the aspects of the game, that they typically don't think about the low difficulty.
Also sorry for bringing up Elden Ring like 8 times, it's just been on the mind since these two games were released in such close proximity to each other (and also since I've been playing both).
Thanks for watching! Like the video if you think my video was on the right track or if you just enjoyed it. You can subscribe the channel for more reviews and discussion videos in the future. Comment your thoughts on Kirby and the Forgotten Land below and maybe even Star Allies. I have to imagine there are people who definitely disagree with me that Star Allies was boring.
