X-Men(Genesis) - Gambit only, SuperHero difficulty/NoDeaths ( NO TAS )
11This is a childhood game of mine, probably one of my first games I ever got to play along with Sonic 2 on genesis. I was recently inspired to play it again and completed a single character run. Gambit is my all time favorite and I use him in any X-Men game he's in, so I finished a Gambit only run with the exception of iceman during Future Earth stage.
This game can be quite frustrating starting out, It does take some getting used to the different jumps and realizing when bosses can take damage. Bosses usually abuse I-frames and have small windows where you can deal damage to them so the casual player will have a rough time trying to figure it out at first.
Platforming is the worst part about this run with only Gambit, during Future Earth / Asteroid M. Asteroid M's stage using this character requires some specifically timed jumps which I had to time in my head and a couple of do-or-death situations depending on health. If you get shot at by normal enemies you cannot mash otherwise you will take damage. If you unluckily get stunned near a ledge you will get knocked back and take quite a bit of fall damage. The final section before Mags is pretty sure unavoidable damage, I tried going through all 3 sections and could not avoid damage so Gambits health should be well above 50% and if you don't then you will die. Magneto isn't that difficult, easy to loop him after dodging his magnetic tempest.
