Rush the Rock
a quick review.
as you can see it controls fine unlike the PS2 version.
but I do HIGHLY recommend a Microsoft brand controller such as the original duke type like I use.
because I also have a 3rd party controller, and the analog isn't nearly as smooth as the official Microsoft.
"Same thing with 1st person shooters"
the GameCube controls better than the PS2 as well but has intense collision issues.
out of the 3 "Midway Treasures 3" ports,, the Xbox is the only one remotely acceptable.
which is why Midway Treasures Rush gets all the hate.
sure the sound isn't as good as the arcade, but if I don't mind then I don't think def ppl will either ;) its all about the gameplay.

Collision glitches where 1 out of 3 times a small tap from another car will send you flying to your death.
the Xbox resolved these and is left with a fine playing game. Only that it takes a steady thumb and a deadspace / drift free controller. if your car goes off balance it can be difficulty to recover compared to the N64. but i take it as a challenge that can be avoided.

Save file corruption. I've lost my fast times tables many times which really sucks.. I've had some really fast times in the past to try and beat, and they've been wiped clean.. so from now on I'll be recording them on my phone so I dont lose them again.
I may eventually request this version be added to Lvlupscore .com to add my time tables there for others to best. The Xbox is NOT identical to the arcade, so it will have its very own time table.

edit - the only benefit this port gives over the arcade is that it runs at 60fps and supports the XBOX HD rgb component. so it's double the framerate and crisper graphics.
but even so I would still recommend the arcade over XBOX.
the original Flagstaff arcade hardware has the best physics, only second by N64.
this is how I'd rank them from best to worst.
Arcade - perfect
N64 - great
Xbox - good
PS1 - so so
GameCube - bad
PS2 - terrible
