It's crazy how convoluted this game is:
1) The cards have attack and movement values for the whole party, you lose when you run out of them as a once per turn count, and are not randomized.
2)You can only attack on the cramped maps with 1 unit per turn.
3) You don't die until morale reaches 0 after all your troops lose. I am thankful for easy mode as it can really be close when you don't have the initiative swing bonus.
4) There is a whole weapon tree that makes fire emblem look simplistic.
5) The game defaults with type B to be backwards with B accepts and A cancels where type A lets A naturally accept and switches B to cancel.
6) Touching the touch screen also skips cutscenes so be careful when undocked.
7) Your troop oddly named Flunky can't participate in early battles even though you are badly outnumbered.
8) I didn't have enough time for the short, but cutscene character avatars do not match in game sprites from clothing to even skin color.

Fast Forward helps a ton so I can edit for this short as you have to balance aggressive with passive sometimes (more sensibly than Mikhail/Harid's romancing saga 3 wars at least). First part was double and 2nd battle triple, with a max to 5 times faster.

I do like the characters, especially Yggdra not feeling she has to apologize for winning, nor overstep her boundaries as Milanor helps her (similar to peach in the Mario movie). The pricing at $25 is very fair compared to $40 etrian odyssey individual games or half the megaman battle network legacy collection (that adds no quality of life and has worse font).

I also found a useful guide as morale (it carries over between battles but leveling heals some, which is like health)/card unlocks, and unlocking unions (fighting series of battles in formations) can be confusing.
