Modders are already fixing Konami's sloppy job! There's a mod available for the Master Collection version of Metal Gear Solid that removes the bilinear filtering. It doesn't fix everything wrong with this version, but it's a major improvement! If you have the Master Collection on Steam, you should get this mod right now!
