Adol reaches the town that the washed-up Eresians have built here and goes to talk with the man in charge. After that he checks out the local shops and finds someone who can temper his new sword to make it stronger. And then he finds a familiar old fellow.
With all the talking in town out of the way, Adol gets some more exercise by going back and forth a little to play mailman. Then it's off to the Canaan Plains to try not to get murdered by the local monsters as he gets stronger.
