Was trying out some PC-98 emulation on a homebrewed Wii. This is the English translated version of Yu-No, a very popular visual novel. It took some fiddling around but it’s running mostly fine now. There seems to be occasional bugs or chugging on the music, like when loading things in and out or changing scenes, and the font is not really the best, but it’s still readable. But otherwise it plays very nicely, haven’t run into any crashes or anything like that yet. Going through the PC-98 menus I need to use the Wii-mote to act as a mouse, but once the game is loaded I switched over to a GameCube controller and that worked great. I’ll be trying out some other PC-98 games as well.
