Number 1
In 2006, Gears of War became the best-selling game for Xbox 360 when it sold 3 million copies!
However, if it wasn't for Epic Games being in talk with Microsoft about the Xbox 360's hardware, Gears of War wouldn't have looked as good as it did, as the system was originally meant to launch with 256MB of RAM instead of the 512 it shipped with.

Number 2
Something that could be commonly found in video games prior to the seventh generation of gaming were in-game profiles, which allowed you to separate your save file and progression from other people that may play the same game on your system. Xbox Live and Xbox 360 took this concept from the games and put it on the console itself: each person had now an Xbox Live account with associated Gamer Tag, game saves stored on the Internet in a cloud service, and the all-new Achievements system that granted numeric scores to gamers for specific accomplishments achieved inside each game!

Number 3
Before finalizing on the Xbox 360 as the name for the console, Microsoft thought of calling the console Nextbox, Xbox Next, Xenon, and Xbox 2. The name Xbox 2 was scrapped as Sony's new PlayStation 3 was about to release, which as a name sounds much newer and more powerful than Xbox 2, so Microsoft decided to call their new machine Xbox 360 as the system would cover every area of gaming, and the gamer was at the center of the experience.

Number 4
The Xbox 360's Achievements system was the first to provide many meta-objectives for every game you played on the system. At the time of the seventh generation Achievements were a great innovation and got the attention of everyone, but in particular they got the attention of Stallion83, a gamer that holds the world record for most Gamer Score achieved. Microsoft noticed Stallion83's commitment to the Achievement system and granted him a life time Xbox Live subscription.

Number 5
The original model of Xbox 360 had swappable faceplates to let gamers customize the aesthetic of their console. Even today you can find many of these faceplates on the Internet, and it makes me really wonder why we've not seen anything like this in subsequent consoles excluding the PlayStation 5, which could really double down on its customization!

Number 6
The Xbox 360 has two USB ports on its front and one on its back, if you want you can plug-in a mouse and a keyboard on the front and your controller on the back, but hold on, unfortunately games were not supported to be played with mouse and keyboard, however, you could still use them to navigate the Xbox menus and type any sort of message or text.

Number 7
When the Xbox 360 launched, one out of three systems had the famous console-breaking bug known as “Red Ring of Death”. Whenever the Xbox was too much heated it warned the user by altering the colors of its LEDs from green to red, in this state, the console was completely broken and as useful as a grain of sand in the desert. In this scenario, the heads of Xbox decided to rectify the situation immediately by replacing the broken consoles for free, costing 1.5 billion dollars to Microsoft.

Number 8
When Microsoft noticed the popularity of Nintendo's Wii after its launch in late 2006 they immediately took note of the possibilities that came with motion controls, thus the Kinect was born in late 2010. Since each Kinect was shipped alongside a copy of Kinect Adventures, the game and the peripheral sold a grand total of 24 million copies.

Number 9
The Xbox 360 was a pioneer in the inclusion of apps that nowadays are commonly present in almost every device. Not only Xbox Live Gold subscribers could access Twitter and Facebook, in which they could publish status updates and check out other users' content, but Netflix also made its first big launch on home televisions through Xbox 360.

Number 10
Originally you could play online with your Xbox 360 for free, with Xbox Live Free - after some time Microsoft launched Xbox Live Gold as a subscription based service which would allow online play for about 60 dollars per year. Although Xbox Live Gold never rolled back on its paid subscription model it launched the Games with Gold project in 2013 which would gift free games each month to all the users subscribed to Xbox Live Gold.
