2020 Nissan Titan XD (400 hp ) / Start-Up, In Depth Walkaround Exterior & Interior
2020 Nissan Titan XD Platinum - Interior and Exterior Walkaround - 2019 LA Auto Show.
2020 Nissan Titan XD Revealed With More Power, Red Badges.
Nissan introduced the 2020 Titan nearly a month ago at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas and now it’s ready to show off its XD counterpart. The model year change brings a simplified lineup as the Single Cab and King Cab body styles have been dropped, with customers having to go exclusively with the King Gab featuring a 6.5-foot bed.
The numerous styling changes obviously mirror those of the 2020 Titan, including a bolder grille in different designs depending on the trim level. A newly designed front bumper incorporates the LED fog lights, while the revised main headlights also use light-emitting diodes to lend the truck a more upscale look and improve visibility. At the back, the revamped taillights employ LEDs and there are multiple tailgate finishers depending on the trim. Go for the PRO-4X models and all the badges inside and out will have a Lava Red finish, a first for a Nissan.
The model year change brings four new coats of paint for the Titan XD: Baja Storm, Red Alert, Super Black, and Cardinal Red Metallic. New wheel designs in sizes of up to 20 inches have been added to the catalog to round off the changes on the outside. Inside, there’s a nine-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, with support for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There’s even a built-in router, allowing up to seven devices to access the Internet through a Wi-Fi connection.
As it’s the case with the standard 2020 Titan, the XD uses an updated 5.6-liter gasoline V8 engine pushing out 10 horsepower and 19 pound-feet (26 Newton-meters) of torque more than before – now at 400 hp and 413 lb-ft (560 Nm). The seven-speed automatic transmission has been replaced by a new nine-speed providing a more linear power delivery and better acceleration thanks to a different final gear ratio. As we’re sure you’re aware by now, the 5.0-liter V8 Cummins diesel engine is no longer available.
The list of goodies available for Nissan’s workhorse includes everything from a 12-speaker, 485-watt Fender sound system to over-the-air updates improving the vehicle's software post-purchase. There’s also an optional dual-panel panoramic moonroof, representing a first for the Titan XD and one of the largest in the class at over three-feet square.
Available in five different trim levels and with four-wheel drive, the 2020 Nissan Titan XD will go on sale early 2020.
