On the night of August 7, 1972, a young sixteen year old high school student named Jeannette DePalma was murdered in Springfield, New Jersey while she was traveling to a friend's house, and the incident sparked a mystery that haunted all of the township. Nearly fifty years this past weekend, the case still remains unsolved, and there are a lot of conspiracy theories and tips going around about what happened that night that makes this case an urban legend across New Jersey. For this video, I will be discussing the Jeannette DePalma mystery from fifty years ago and what happened on the night of her murder, and discuss the mystery that still haunts my hometown to this day.
