This time I used the Pointman Pro mode. This basically uses the puzzle mode part of the game, where you have to collect three or more of the same block color to get more points.
Pointman also allows you to hold up to three blocks in reserve to use later. You collect blocks by holding left click and put them down in any lane with right click. This mode also has "gutters" on each side that you can go in to pass blocks if you feel like. Powerup things also can appear on the track or in the gutter.
The powerups that I can recall are the paint powerup, which turns all block types that you currently have in your grid into the same color as the paint powerup meaning it's an instant match usually, and the lightning powerup, which just dumps a whole bunch of blocks of the same color as the powerup into your grid which also leads to instant matches usually.
