Blood Harvest (1987) | Horror Review
Jill Robinson returns to her family home from college. When she arrives she finds her home vandalized, with no sign of her parents. With recent issues regarding her father foreclosing on farmer’s homes in the area the sheriff is not surprized or even worried about this. Her childhood friend and his brother are the only ones in the town seeming to care and pay attention to her. Gary is around to keep an eye on her all the time it seems, and his brother Marvo has gone a bit batty. Marvo dresses up as a clown and acts fully disconnected to the world with a recent trauma but seems to mean well even if his actions are creepy. When others around her start disappearing she needs to find out who is harassing her through the nights and find what happened to her parents.
I wouldn’t suggest this movie for anyone looking for a good film to watch, but it is an oddity with how they used the oddball character throughout. The strange soundtrack sung by Tiny Tim as well makes it such an oddity of a movie. If you want to see something weird but not minding flat characters then go for Blood Harvest.
