When Sasuke Uchiha had his rinnegan destroyed by BoruShiki, it marked the start of a power shift in the Naruto universe and the day that many fans knew was eventually going to come seemed to be more inevitable than ever before. Naruto and Sasuke were no longer the strongest ninja on the planet and with the revelation that Boruto and Kawaki's karma has a hidden power that neither of them have been able to fully draw out just yet, which is the full arsenal of jutsu that their Otsutsuki have mastered and their thousands of years of combat experience. So far we've seen Kawaki manifest a partial version of Isshiki Otsutsuki unique doujutsu and wield its powers, but we haven't seen Boruto awaken Momoshiki's unique dojutsu. Whereas Kawaki awakened Isshiki's strongest dojutsu, Boruto has only managed to manifest the byakugan and not Momoshiki's rinnegan. However, with Code now inside of Konoha and Boruto about to face off against someone whose power is beyond that of Jigen, at least once Code gets his limiters removed by Amado, the seeds have been planted for Boruto to manifest the dominant dojutsu of his Otsutsuki host, similar to how Kawaki did, and when this happens it's going to come with a power increase that will put Boruto beyond Sasuke once this power is mastered.
