I wanted to show off this great character mod by playing something not quite meta. Brains is a character that tries to keep a balance between methodical and fast-paced gameplay, and I think it does well at achieving that.

The active ability is focusing, this lets you focus on one specific enemy for a short time and deal extra damage to it with every hit. The passive makes enemies drop brains upon dying, these increase your chance to deal a critical hit each time you shoot, this is shown by painting your projectiles red. Critical hits increase damage by 35%, and focusing also increases damage by 35%.

Once you reach level ultra, you get the choice of two ultras that enhance how much damage you can deal. I took Ultra B this time, which makes focusing incredibly powerful, by spreading damage dealt to a focused enemy to other nearby enemies. This essentially lets you turn single target guns into multi-target, and that opens up a lot of fun gameplay options. Try it with a heavy slugger perhaps.

Admittedly this isn't the smoothest gameplay, and this character has so much more potential, but this is just an example of what it can do. I haven't tried Ultra A yet, so I don't know how well it scales in loop. The throne butt lets you "focus faster", though I don't know how it actually affects the ability. It also gives your weapons homing capabilities.
