Thanks for supporting me through CDS yallstd :). The rest of the Desc is gonna be able things I missed in this video, as I did forget a few things.


One major omission I forgot to talk about in the Video was trades -- I wanna quickly mention a few things about them.
- Trading champions was available all season*, and I definitely should have participated in it a little bit more aggressively. I never asked for trades with other players, as in my mind to 'guarantee' a successful trade, I'd want to have specific plans for a given champion and make sure that in my head it generated positive EV. I'm gonna call these "trades of certainty" -- the point of a trade like this is to claim that, via a fair bit of planning ahead, x champion will generate better decks & matchups than y champion I'm removing.
- I could have done Trades of Certainty at any point, but did not have the time or foresight to be able to sit down and critically analyze. On occasion, I'd glance at the open pool, forlornly weeping at Sivir's 14 Cost, but most of the time I resigned myself to saying that any given trade with the open pool (I.e. unpicked champions) was almost certainly wrong. Within region-trading, all options were worse. Out-of-region trading I think would have only been valuable for PnZ...
- Let's talk about PnZ -- By the end of the draft for CDS, PnZ was all gone. I expected no one would do a trade of certainty with me. However, when the nerf to Cosmic Call came out, a lot of people traded with the open pool (and each other?). I was asleep during this, and during that time, IIRC, Cait was traded out into the open pool, then gobbled up before I had an opportunity to get it. This hurt a little, but it's just what happens sometimes. Vi, aswell, was given up to the open pool, but no one took it. Vi is a little bit less flexible than Caitlyn, so it wasn't an immediate grab, but in the back of my mind, I always considered Vi an option. However, with not much time to plan every week in advance, I put it on the backburner, planning to play around it later.
- The New Champions released, and unfortunately due to poor play against Sirturmund, we had last picks towards champs. This was the only week where trades were prorated, people got access to trading in waves. I had no opportunity post-Sirturmund loss to get Morgana [ :( ], Elder Dragon or Mordekaiser. These would have been instant trades-of-obvious-benefit (the other trade type, which is a little bit silly I'm delineating the two, but I think had Morg/ED/Morde been there at the start, they would have been High Prios then. You need not the same level of foresight to justify these champs IMO).
- Alright. The Final story w/ trading was for the Finals. Surely, once the Finals were more or less organised (we literally knew the Top 6 by the penultimate round of CDS Round Robin), I could do a little bit of planning and pretty easily conclude that I'm never really playing Lucian or Kai'Sa. It would be a perfect opportunity to go snatch up Vi. Unfortunately, and this one stung, the trading deadline (i.e. the time which after would permit no more trades) was during the worlds broadcast 💀. The week leading up to the Worlds and the days of Worlds themselves were not the time I had to even bother thinking about CDS, so I ignored it.

I think, had I had Vi, I would have had better opportunities to build lineups for this final week -- TPK Arguably let me down, and a PnZ Deck (PnZ Sej Iceborn Poro? PnZ Bilge "Nilah Janna" but with Vi??) would have atleast given me more flexibility for my options, compared to the waste of Kai'Sa and Lucian. When I describe, at the end of the video, factors that lead to 2nd instead of 1st, I think my lack of focusing on trading can also be described.

I think this is a cool minor thing to analyze, but it's bo dig neal.
