New day and new objectives. Have to find a "Sword of the Stranger". Have to admit, the story
catches my imagination very little. Guess it's a combination of my age, compared to when I were a teenager. Plus Diablo III from the launch, always been mostly hack 'n slash game. Or mostly the A in "Action" in it's genre ARPG (Action-Role Playing Game). Still a RPG game ofcause with it's system of choosing between different weapons, armor etc. with various strength, magic and weakness. But storyline has, I guess, always been a bit weak in DIII. And quests seems to be the same pattern. From the city, you have to go to a cave, and collect or rescue someone. Could be nice to now and then see something entirely different, to break the monotony and routine. Eg. one or more villagers have got a deadly virus or curse. Or deliberately working with the devil. And you have to be carefull, and find out who is the bad apple... Just a quick idea, that you could do more than just out on a quest and hack 'n slash your way to some cave. A bit more storyline intertwined to a quest or task, you have to solve.
Some minor things could have been done different in Diablo III. Like eg. I'm not sure why my fellow companion, are only able to hold a one hand sword or weapon. Maybe the idea behind it, were not to let any help on my quest, not get too powerfull, so it got too easy? Guess I would have let my compagion have same rules or system that I have. And if we got step by step more powerfull, then the monsters also more powerfull as well. So there was a coherent logic behind it all. And not suddenly an exception to the rule/system. And same time a difficulty balance along your progression.
Thanks for watching. Regards from Krusty
