Dude plays SF3 New Generation: Alex playthrough!
2Well hey, hey there folks and fellow YouTubers, and welcome to my first ever gaming video for a Street Fighter game as Dude punches, kicks, and grapples his way through this playthrough video of Street Fighter 3: New Generation as Alex in this never before seen gaming video of his in this unique blast from the past as Street Fighter 3: New Generation is one of his favorite ever Street Fighter games even if not his single favorite ever no doubt. I am also playing Street Fighter 3: New Generation on the PC via the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary collection via the Steam platform as well as you will hear me mention in my commentary for this video.
One of the reasons I love Street Fighter 3: New Generation so much is not just its nostalgic value but also just how different it looks from Street Fighter 2 as I just love its weirder, more wilder clownish, and circus freak kind of vibe unlike Street Fighter 2 which seems to have more conservative news-journalist type look and feel while this has again a vibe I much more truly like. For example, when I was ten years old I first saw Street Fighter 3: New Generation in the old Tilt Arcade that use to exist at the Salem Center Mall up in Salem, Oregon where I use to live, and I most specifically remember seeing Dudley and his rainy-stage set in London, England and I just already loved the look and feel of the game as well especially Dudley in with his very Victorian/Edwardian or early 20th Century inspired hair and clothing. The music to me was also very memorable as well no doubt as it also had a Victorian or Edwardian or 1920s British vibe I really thoroughly enjoyed and I remember this all the way back 24 years ago in March of 1997. Alex (the character I am playing as in this video) and his own stage is also very memorable though too as it has a very grungy, 90s urban look and feels that also in its own way makes it as nostalgic as Dudley and his stage. Again like Dudley's stage the music on Alex's stage is also very memorable as well and it really fits who he is as well. I also like Alex's more wild and rugged look with his long hair in a ponytail and a headband of which I learned was partly inspired by Axl Rose's late 80s early 90s Guns N' Roses look among some other things I can't remember exactly.
Now in case you are wondering one of the reasons I chose to play as Alex in this video is because I tend to be much better with him as I tend to get my behind handed over to me when I play as other characters in the game as well and that makes it at times almost nearly impossible to almost. I am sort of exaggerating to make a point no doubt just to describe how hard this game is of course. This is interesting because I find that New Generation is way harder than Second Impact or Third Strike I don't know why that is exactly but that is certainly my experience anyway as there are always people who beg to differ no doubt which of course is totally fine, to each their own as they say. As a quick, little side note I apologize if this video took longer than usual to upload and process as that is weird considering that this video is only 24 minutes long but somehow it took a very long while for it to upload. Hey, better late than never as the saying goes.
