- Analysis:
• For the most part, Jia Xu is a Musou spammer and he is pretty good at it. His Musou 1 has very high hit count and therefore, very high damage with Flurry. Weapon 1 is a Pure Musou setup focused on pushing Musou 1 damage. While Weapon 2 is tailored towards being a general physical weapon with Triumph for Rage filling. Jia Xu also has a nasty unblockable Switch Attack (SA) that stuns a row of enemies, which is used to setup his Musou and normal game offense.
• In general, Jia Xu's normal game is there to mainly support his Musou game. The damage is overall not too good, but it gets the job done. C2-EX is his best moveset as the EX is an unblockable multi-hit EX that contributes effective Musou and Rage combo filling as long as he has both Musou Springs and Rage Springs. The additional unblockable property allows him to have consistent filling results in a crowd.
- Movesets:
• Switch Attack (SA) is his setup for pretty much every thing he does. It is unblockable, stuns enemies and gives him ample tie to sneak behind his targets. Jia Xu can also perform SA anytime he wants if he is flinched/staggered as this is his weapon's unique property (as long as he is on the ground). There is also a thing he can do with SA where he cancels his SA half way and he will end up very high up in the air. Very useful to jump over a pile of crowd while kiting and setting up (10:27).
• Musou 1 everything because it is strong and combo fills Rage very well. Jia Xu can spin himself around to hit targets around him which is pretty nice if he wants to KO or pushback nearby enemies. Jia Xu can a bait a crowd marching towards him with his good mobility and SA air cancel to manipulate crowds (10:29). Stun a group of them with SA and Musou 1.
• C2-EX is an unblockable multi-hit move designed to fill his Musou and Rage when he can. This EX is not cancellable half way through the animation with jumps so make sure he has at least one Musou gauge in preparation to avoid Musou-counters.
• Normal Strings S5 from Jia Xu can be strong if there is enough Flurry to boost his damage (especially S5 because it is a multi-hit string). One tech he can do is to lose an Affinity matchup on purpose (he uses Harmony, so he is limited to one Affinity, but anyways), stun the officer with SA and proceed to deal S5 grounded damage to the stunned officer (8:35, 9:17, 12:24). Officers won't be able to wake up from his S5 because of their Hyper Armor. Keep in mind that Weapon 2 is the only weapon with Velocity for his normal game.
