- Analysis:
• Jiang Wei is a very mobile Shadow Sprint (SS) character, like very. His SS is actually pretty good in a crowd with Induction + Explosive grind damage at close enough range. His C3-EX-SS offense is very cat-and-mouse. He knocks enemies away and chases them down with SS which can be seen counter-productive when he is trying to KO officers. While this can result in Musou-counters quite often, Jiang Wei is relatively free from melee peon flinches.
• C3-EX-SS offense starts to turtle around when super officers have double Defense and will often triggers Musou-counter from playable officers. C3-EX-SS is also not very good in 1v1 dueling or low crowd scenarios, but is still very good at pressuring officers because of his SS. At times like this, Musou 1 is his backup offense for dealing high and consistent damage.
- Movesets:
• C3(-EX)-SS is his stage crawling offense as it nets good KO counts and is guard break during the EX. Because of this and his SS, it is very easy for him to pressure officers because of how fast and agile he is. If Jiang Wei is quick enough with the C3(-EX)-SS combo, he can actually pressure playable officers with an Affinity disadvantage matchup as well (not recommended). C3 snipe with no EX or SS is the quickest way to stack KO counts. The tornado stun he launches reaches quite far and has a wide hitbox.
• Switch Attack (SA) is unblockable and can be considered as a "inexpensive" offense if he SA-repeat. SA under Rage can deal good damage overtime with Flurry. Jiang Wei's overall offense with C3-EX has a difficult time controlling officers without scattering them or causing Musou-counter. SA is the only exception to that as he can damage enemies and multiple officers in front of him without scattering them or a fear of Musou-counter. SA is also great for thinning out shield peons or sniping flaggers when possible.
• Musou 1 is his best Musou because it is a combo-based Musou and has consistent high damage. As long as he grabs the target for a full-hit, it can OHKO double Defense regular officers and deal ~70-80% damage to super officers (11:56). Musou 1 is also his best Musou because of combo fill for Rage and yields good KO counts for Roar and Triumph.
• Normal Strings S5-repeat can be used against super playable officers due to Musou-counters. Even though Jiang Wei does has a reliable offense against them with Musou 1, he won't always have it accessible. Rage + S5-repeat will deal a good chunk to super officers while he waits for the Rage duration to expire for three more Musou gauges.
- Option(s):
• SS→Jump→JC...-repeat is Jiang Wei's quick travel (1:24, etc.). Great for quick escapes and travels as it is slightly faster than Red Hare. The Jump button has to be pressed instantly as soon as a SS is performed. Doing this correctly will propel Jiang Wei in the air with increased forward momentum.
• Musou 2 is his strongest Musou as it can potentially OHKO super officers. However, Musou 2 is extremely difficult to perform accurately and therefore very inconsistent. It requires officers to be grounded, not blocking, be in the center of the pyramid and as Jiang Wei draws the pyramid, all 3 of the lines has to mark the officer. Shield peons can easily mess up this Musou.
• True Rage Musou is usable, but not recommended unless it is a massive playable pileup as Jiang Wei isn't the best combo filler with normal game when he is dry. He is safe with C3 tornado snipe through kill fill, but that is about the extent of it.
