Total War; Empire turns out to be a classic total war experience I have long overlooked. In this review I go over what a great expansion of content it for anyone who fell in love with old school total war titles like Medieval 2 and Rome. It successfully combines the great blend of 4x campaign strategy and real time tactical battles that made total war such a hit.

Empire provides a vast expanse of playable area, tech and research trees, fun black powder and naval combat, all without losing that true golden era total war feel. This game spot on captures the feeling I love about playing total war titles, and the campaign has grabbed my attention and kept it. I highly recommend picking this game up while it's on the steam sale!
