Fallout | Part:6 | The Hub Has A Lot To Explore, And We Check Out Old Town
The Hub has a lot of area to explore, and we continue by heading to Old Town. First, we check in with Kane and Decker, and it turns out the warnings to stay away were valid. They want us to kill a merchant who refuses to bow to the underground. We accept the job, but have no intentions of carrying it out. Instead we take the 500 caps and make a plan to talk to the police.
After that, we make our way over to Old Town. Things look pretty grim over there, but the residents seem to actually like it. Good for them! We meet another weapons merchant, who has some really good stuff for sell. We will have to remember him when we actually have some money/loot to sell.
We also discover the thieves circle, quite by accident. We passed their first test, which was to find them, and accept a second test before they allow us to join. The second test is to steal a necklace from the Hightowers. These are the same people that Decker and Kane want us to kill. The thieves guild would not like it if we killed the Hightowers, so we are a bit at odds. It is a good thing that we weren't planning to kill them anyway.
Other than that, there doesn't seem to be much going on. We run into Slappy and Harold who have information on the legendary deathclaw that may be behind the disappearing caravans. After hearing Harold's story, we go to take on the Deathclaw. Thanks to a couple lucky (and huge) crits, we make short work of the Deathclaw, and learn what's really responsible for the disappearing caravans.
