FFXIV Final Fish Log: Maru Crab [282/289]
1The last big fish that isn't a legendary fish (or one of a legendary fish's prerequisite catches) This demonic little crab took over 40 windows for the recatch, with 2 slips as well! The more windows you attend, the more you understand just how annoying Stormfish are. Maru Crab/Ambling Caltrop/Henodus Grandis are all truly their own different type of pain. Unfortunately, there's no scrips to be gained during Maru's window. Only Stormfish and 28 second Yeti Crab bites until Maru decides to exist.
Maru Crab is the big fish that I have attended the most windows for out of any big fish in the game. I'm at around 60 windows for this one. It's a real pain.
Like with most of the mooched fish of this type, I'm aggressively using and refreshing Patience II only to demonstrate that Maru Crab is *precision hookset.* Also, my Patience II catch wasn't a large. That's interesting.
