In today's episode, I finish off the Chosen, and get a few Tributaries. A bunch of Psionic Assimilation wrecks stability and energy income for a while, but it fixes itself, as it was a temporary problem for a permanent gain.

Oh, and I get dragged into a war with the Xenophobe FE. Because one of my vassals was right next to them. Yeah...

What do you think of alliances? On one hand, they can do wonderful things, and unite people against a threat, like everyone united against the Chosen. On the other hand... yeah, I'm not ready to fight a 300k fleet. I'm mostly hoping to rebuild while they trash some of my territory, and then maybe be strong enough to fight them. But: this alliance gave me short-term gains for a long-term problem.
