Final Fantasy Tactics Adrenaline Rush Blood Sword Karma vs Gaffgarion's Last Stand
Taking my life back is funny to say. Just add arcane defense vs mages/lucavi or defense boost for physical enemies for an even greater war of attrition. This Adrenaline Rush needs a lot of life insurance as you'll die fast with the enhanced speed which lifefont helps a ton.
I mentioned equip swords ninja before with this blood sword to break the game, but it isn't necessary if you set up your characters (unfortunately replay value is from what you commit in the beginning, and monks/thieves have to be played the longest to unlock samurais, ninjas at level 5 with other stuff, or level 4 with geomancer and dragoon respective upgrades), and of course steel to max bravery to react (or used unarmed attacks from monk) and tailwind to boost speed (which also increases chances for stealing in addition to concentration).
Honestly it's crazy how RNG is (a critical KO, bad zodiac compatibility enemy damage/missing, or broken armor will make you reset) and how obsolete charging magic (which breaks chapter 2 due to ch 1 having lower HP, bigger maps for range, and speed) gets in chapter 2's Gaffgarion battles (though you could rend or steal Gaffgarion's weapon but need a ton of luck and auto potion/mana shield may be more helpful) with Mustadio and Agrias being beginner's traps as they have no setup unlike your developed characters, and unlearn the better skills they have as a guest.
Guest Agrias has white and mystic magic, which if you can learn move +1 and have battle boots, isn't too bad, but you need a lotta RNG at Balias Tor to learn hallowed bolt or divine ruination, and forget about Mustadio unless you get good RNG with snipe, that boosts speed, and learn arm shot to stop enemies from acting, though it's easier to use a Mystic with hesitation.
Lucavi have enough cheese tactics like rend speed and invigoration (ironically life drain but based on max HP like graviga rather than current HP in other games. I just wanted to showcase this as it is funny to win this way, though his goons can critical so I couldn't get a good recording of the full battle, though this is better to edit than display a war of attrition and 1 shot with holy while Agrias' stasis sword stopped someone (I'd lose if I didn't use it, though I had her with phoenix downs and light damage).
Jump is still pretty useful to dodge magic and thieves can work with Equip polearms due to faster speed (around level 10 they'll have an extra speed compared to other units and ninja 1 above) and jump not working with doublehand with spears not able to be dual wielded. They jump faster as it's based on speed, so it works even with horizontal jump 4 late game (and I had nelveska temple Javelin 2 which you'll do max damage with doublehand or at least 600 with jump).
Figured this would be a last vid given the other new builds I tried were either boring (Geomancer teleport summoner is kinda derivative to any other teleport/arcane strength combo) or just didn't work (doom fist arcane strength or dancers later on when everyone has double digit speed and you take away 1 though Mimes help). Also no idea why you learn ultima a la blue magic but not shadowblade, which someone made a mod for (though it's not that big a deal, but aim+1 is very lame lol, and you get all crystal abilities if they have multiple).
As frustrating as the game was (difficulty spikes/waning end battles, job unlocks, unintuitive combinations like this vid or useless abilities), it was infotainment to experiment (not having to make a dark knight/mime all the time, which takes forever, more than bard and dancer), though a lot is too expensive like summoner's halve MP (manafont and go all in with holy works better if you're paying 1000 jp) or time mage's swiftness (which works with Cloud's limit breaks but not dancer/Bard nor aim charging). Monks with 50-60 bravery are worthless (even 55 was doing double 20 damage of 50).
Balthier is an upgrade with Mustadio (having monk available, better equipment, reliable plunder to steal without concentration or brawler, and he can even equip Orlandeau's haste Excalibur which should work with barrage aka rapidfire for 4 weakened attacks). I could technically just make Mustadio an archer in chapter 3 and get Adrenaline rush to boost snipe, but that takes a long time at 900 JP (which is why it is easier to make these builds with Ramza who has to be in every story battle, or do propositions/errands with NPC's though you'll have low levels once I learned this).
