Character gacha games like Fire Emblem Heroes get boring, and they get boring fast, you fall into a slump of simply waiting for the developers to add a new, more powerful character, there's no variety in the pvp sections because everybody just uses the best characters.

Skill inheritance is going to broaden variety in pvp, it's going to add more gameplay through experimentation, it's a boon to F2P players, and it will mark the first time in a character lottery game where a person could use characters they actually like rather than the characters with the best stats and skills.
