In a very small reader's note, Stef Biemans has read that the Galicians feel forgotten by the rest of Spain. He travels to the Costa da Morte to find out if this is really the case. In his letters, he asks what he absolutely must not overlook when visiting Galicia.

It is not surprising that Galicia often does not feel heard, because it does not try very hard to do so. That is what an artist Stef meets says, and he sees what he means when he attends a protest against windmills. It is calm and civilised, and almost unnoticed. The Galicians are not very fond of the central authority, but the church is still very important here. Coastal residents know they are protected by the Virgin of the Boat, and that is much needed on the Costa da Morte, where the sea gives and takes.
