The Dell Optiplex is an excellent home computing solution. It's widely available online and it's used prices are ridiculously low. We won ours in an auction for £4.06 ($5), and before we attempt to upgrade it we wanted to see if it could actually run anything as it is, even with the terrible integrated graphics.

Over the coming weeks we'll be turning this into something hopefully half decent, and giving it an entirely new lease of life. The current specs are:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3GHz
2GB DDR2 Ram
Intel GMA 3100 Q35 Chipset Graphics
Windows 10 pro
