The current Situation Battle to make the rounds is Spectres and Fallen Beasts which features entirely low to mid cost suits even dipping as far down as the Zaku II and Gm Ground leading to a very different game feel to the recent situation battles.
The GM Ground is a simple suit that favours ranged damage and is slightly frail against melee attacks, while it isn't an overly powerful suit the relatively lower power here means it can do quite a bit of work in the hands of someone capable to make full use of it's main advantage here the shield tackle which lets it hit kill thresholds it would otherwise miss as long as it still has it's shield.
In terms of match ups it fairs pretty evenly with the Zaku II thanks in part to it's slim frame and the advantage of having a dodge roll though doesn't trade shots overly well and it can inflict massive damage with it's melee attack, keeping enough of a distance to let you roll out of stuns and taking advantage of the decently high ranged stat of the Ground to stun into grenade to wear it down into the tackle combo kill range.
The Zaku II Type S matchup is a little tough it has both maneuverer armour and a dodge roll which means not only is stopping it at times slightly difficult but it can roll out of a stun if needed which when paired with it's higher melee priority, slightly better bazooka and high damage heat hawk can lead to a world of hurt, it's main weakness is it isn't quite fast enough to avoid taking hits letting you wear it down with grenades which can help you chip it into your kill range.
against the Himo Zaku Ground it's a fairly fair match up with it coming out on top just due to it's main damage leaving it less exposed after, it's notably faster at walking and has a higher boost speed but lacks the maneuverer needed to get in for free and even with it's potent grenades is slightly worse off in ranged trades still the fact it has melee priority 3, combo controller and high melee damage lets it take chunks of your health easily.
The Zaku II Heavy Arms will destroy you unless it's otherwise preoccupied, it has a far better range, it's missiles will rip you apart and you just don't have the damage to even consider taking the fight, keep an eye on it's position and try and keep some form of cover between it and you, if you have to be in it's line of sight for whatever reason try to watch your radar to see if it's aiming at you and if for whatever reason it gets close take advantage of the fact it's cannon doesn't do great with uneven ground and has a low splash range to try and buy yourself the room to escape, only engage a fight with it if you need to even the odds and help your Pixie if they have been spotted or to make sure the enemy is looking at you, you will either take huge damage or go down but that's the nature of your role.
The Efreet (DS) is a monster here, you will need to always be aware of your radar as to know when it pops smoke and don't let flak you, if it runs at your Guncannon be ready to wither follow up a stun from the allies tackle or catch the Efreet when it stops to shotgun, it can rip most of your health in one good hit but outside of the Slave Wraith you unfortunately have the best chance of not being tore apart thanks to having a roll so it's partly your job to handle, if you see it at the minimum keep note of where it's going and if nothing else at least get in some grenade damage as the more you wear it down the harder it's job becomes, don't let it do things for free.
