Gerudo's Fortress, Part 1 | Zelda: Ocarina of Time 100% Walkthrough "70/89" (No Commentary)
134We start off by riding Epona over to the West, and into Gerudo Valley. From here we jump the bridge with Epona and wait for night to reveal Gold Skulltula #87 behind the Carpenter's tent. Next we head across from the tent and find Gold Skulltula #88 on a stone pillar connected to the wall. We then move on into the Gerudo Fortress. This fortress is guarded by the Gerudo which are a group of Desert Thieves that consist of only Women. Every 100 years a Male is born, and this century, that happens to be Ganondorf. Once we enter we see that the guards will capture us on sight and toss us in a prison. (To get out simply use the Longshot on the wooden window panel above you.) The Gerudo have captured the 4 Carpenters as well, and we've been asked to rescue them by the head carpenter (I didn't talk to him lol). Once we escape the Jail cell, we jump carefully onto the upper ledge of the building and I show that the Gerudo can be stunned with Arrows. We now jump down and enter the Thieves Hideout to find the first Carpenter, he warns us that the Gerudo guards should be guarding him from nearby, and we are suddenly attacked by one (Note: If you see her wind up her swords and jump, she is using her stunning attack, if you are hit by this, you will immediately end up back in prison). After defeating her she drops a Small Key and leaves. We use this Small Key to free Ichiro, the Carpenter and move on to save the other three. We now head left from the cell and back outside. We then head int o the nearby doorway and dodge a few Gerudo guards while maneuvering through the Hideout. A few doors later we find the 2nd Carpenter and fight for his Small Key in the same manner as before. Once we get it, we free the Carpenter Jiro, and move on. We now head right from the cell and up the slope leading back outside. From here, we jump down and across to another doorway, leading to the 3rd Carpenter's Cell. Once again we fight a Gerudo Guard for a Small Key, and free the Carpenter Sabooro, before heading out to search for the final Carpenter.
