16Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! puts you on the other side of the RPG. You are a smith shop owner that sells weapons to adventurers and you have to build your business in a world filled with funny gaming jokes and talking potatoes.
If you want you business to bloom, you’ll need to explore new regions and research new recipes to forge and sell the most perfect weapons for each adventurer. So keep an eye on your stats: magic, attack, accuracy and speed.
But the game is not all craft and sell. You need to know how to run your business, since smiths get more proficient everytime they swing the hammer and their wage raises. So it gets harder as the weapons get better. Workers also get tired, so you’ll eventually have to balance work time with vacation time.
A whole lot of the game is about repetition. And the problem with repetition is it gets… well, repetitive. And it’s doesn’t help that there are lots of actions you can’t do at once, making you wait and wait and wait.
Altought it’s a fun and well designed game, the lack of a fast forward button is the main reason it makes us give it a 6/10. But it’s still in development, so it might get a whole lot better.
