The long road towards victory lay ahead of Macedon. Cassander has passed, along with his eldest son Philip IV. Antipater II has fled Macedon to Ptolemy's court in Egypt. The Diadochi have all been replaced by their Epigoni, and yet the dynasties still hold their squabbles. The fate of Macedon has been left in the hands of Alexander V, grandson of Antipater, the Regent of Macedon in Alexander the Great's absence, and son of Thessalonike, half-sister of Alexander the Great himself. Deciding to focus on Greece, he ordered that the Italian Peninsula be left to its peoples' vices after having utterly destroyed the Romans. Most of Greece proper lay under Macedon's leadership, yet the remaining areas still lay under the yoke of the other Epigoni, with the exception of Sparta, who wishes to unite the Pelopponese. The kingdom may still be relatively strong, yet its true might is still challeneged.
