Because there’s a way scarier guy popping out of pools of water, and his name’s Larry Butz. I mean it, when Larry emerged from the pool in Allebahst’s rose garden, it was like something straight out of the original “Clock Tower” game. Heck, all that was missing was Bobby’s theme playing in the background.
Though after seeing that scene once again, I can just picture a “Clock Tower”/”Ace Attorney” crossover happening in which Larry and Oldbag, after years of rejection, go mad and invite all those who scorned their love to an abandoned mansion in the woods and proceed to kill them off one by one. Heck, for Oldbag, they wouldn’t need to do much in regards to her sprites since Mary Barrows’ look nearly identical to hers. I’m serious, look up Mary Barrows’ dialogue sprites from the original “Clock Tower” game and you’ll see how eerily similar she looks to Oldbag- especially when she’s angry.
