0We finally reached the tower of Sector Seven, but the members of Avalanche had suffered a lot of damage. Barret was hanging on at the top. After a brief battle with Reno, we couldn't stop him from detonating the bomb and destroying Sector Seven.
Barret endured significant psychological damage, thinking about the members of Avalanche and all the people who died. However, Tifa gave him a glimmer of hope by mentioning that Marlene could be alive.
Upon reaching Aerith's house, we met her mom, who shared the story of Aerith and revealed that she is her stepmother. She also disclosed that Aerith is the last of the Ancients, a race that lived on Earth 2000 years ago.
