3Welcome to Ninja Village, another brilliant pixel-art game from Kairosoft. This is the version on Steam, which is a true emulation of the original version that is available on Android.
The name of the game says it all - you create a village that is full of ninjas. Okay, not quite. You create a small clan, develop a village with a simple economy. Your villagers can work fields, creating food that can be sold. Your villagers are also warriors, and you can send up to six of them to attack nearby clans.
This game comes with a twist, though it is so early in the game that it's not really an issue to spoil it: shortly after conquering your initial area and unifying your region, the Emperor is overthrown, and he comes to you for help!
With the Emperor's blessing, on behalf of the shogunate, you get to recruit an army, lead it into battle against rival clans, and attempt to unite the entire land. Train in mock battles for rewards, conquer other clans for new research, and build up your army, your villagers, and your economy.
