So I finally use Reimu A. And lemme tell you - compared to B she is BAD at the opening onslaught of this stage. Not as bad as Marisa shot types, but bad none the less. Notice how the needles do not constantly hit the faeries even when focused... for enemies with actual health this becomes a problem!

Naturally she's ridiculously good against bosses though, and Koishi is no exception. Koishi is still to me among the hardest of Extra bosses, but she no longer poses much of a threat to me because of how static she is. There is NOTHING in herr fight that varies. No, not even Genetics. Or Embers of Love. EVERYTHING she does has a static pattern which you can learn and/or memorise, to the point where it becomes really straightforward. My one achilles heel in this fight is Rorschach, which for some reason I am always just terrible at. Fun fact - that card has the properties of a survival card, except for the no damage bit. Could it have originally been intended as a survival?

Aaaaaanyway, this LP brings another conundrum into my Touhou plays. You see, now that I have done this LP on Lunatic, two problems arise:

1) It makes my previous LP's kinda look bad for being on Hard - whilst my skill has improved obviously since then, it still doesn't look too good having such a glaring mismatch when all of the previous games have easier Lunatic modes than this.

2) I cannot actually beat UFO Lunatic yet... and UFO is the next on the list...


So really, where do I go from here? With another long time of practice I reckon I could probably DO UFO Lunatic, but that could take months again since I kinda took a hiatus on it after my last attempt in November. I could easily do Hard, but that's taking a backward step compared to this LP, which seems illogical now. Such an odd situation to find myself in...


So I will leave it to you guys. If you all want to just see more Touhou quickly, I could probably do Hard and get it out at the end of the month (I have a summer school starting on the 20th that lasts a week). If you would rather wait and see the game on Lunatic... I could do that too (I think!), but you may be waiting a fair while on that one. Touhou typically takes a back seat to the other games that I am LP'ing, and there's more coming on that front next month as it is. So yeah, "vote" in the comments I guess!
