Based on Haro Aso's manga, Alice in Borderland is a 2020 Japanese science fiction thriller drama streaming television series. Shinsuke Sato directed the series. It stars Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya as allies trapped in an abandoned Tokyo who are forced to compete in dangerous games, the type and difficulty of which are represented by playing cards, in order to extend "visas" that, if not renewed, result in the player's execution by lasers shot from the sky.
