There, now we have something good, so I don't have to feel bad about taking a few days off after this.

First off, we play Base13, but abandon it when it becomes clear the progression is broken. Upon closer inspection, it appears the map is unbeatable due to the red access switch being located in a room beyond a forcefield. Unfortunately the only switch linked to this forcefield is set to appear solely in multiplayer... and now I have to question the legitimacy of the reviewer. Maybe I'm just dumb.

Citadel, by contrast, is a map that released on the same day and, oh boy is it a good one. By the standards of later work, it would be easy to overlook how well put together this one is. In fact, I only left Base13 in the video to show the difference between the two; what was expected versus a real stand-out map. Congrats, Akimbo, you made a theme I should hate into something that I genuinely enjoyed... also I'm totally stealing your idea for the sky texture.



Oh, also "Copyright-protected content found. " - Guess I'll have to do some vandalism before the next one. Expect wonky music from here.
