Lukozer Retro Game Review 238 - Cobra Command - Laserdisc Arcade Coin-Op
My review of the coin-op arcade game Cobra Command, released by Data East in 1984. No, not the shitty generic horizontal shoot-em-up from 1988, this is the Data East laserdisc game. Combining the two standard gameplay styles of laserdisc games, Cobra Command was arguably the most playable and varied laserdisc game released (certainly by 1984). Featuring superb animation, amazing sound and an overlay that looked and sounded like it was provided by an Acorn Electron, Cobra Command was seriously difficult, which put off a lot of people back in the day (including me) but my practice goes prior to doing this video resulted in this game growing on me.... to the point that i'm now quite the fan...
