This is a powerful song!

I know the microphones are showing more than before and that's because I only have 110 cm (3,6 ft) of recording space between the wall and the bed :P The sound might be a bit different too because the natural reverb changes with the size of the room. The smaller the room, the less is the reverb. The wall type and the things in the room (bouncing / absorbing sound) also changes the reverb. I'm recording straight from my bedroom to avoid all noises in the apartment and as you can see the room is pretty small.

The reverb in this rendition was added with Vegas Pro 12.0, but I don't like to use too much artificial reverb. Mostly because I think it can blend the sound too much, making it a "sound soup" (for example: "To Zanarkand" where I added too much reverb). The natural reverb of a room just doesn't do that, instead it echoes back all harmonic tones of the instrument, while keeping melody / rythm and bass crystal clear.

We have a long narrow porch with big glass doors next to the living room, the sound there could resemble the reverb of a long hallway so I might go mobile again just to try it out one day :)
